DAY 1: TANGIER → CHEFCHAOUEN

Upon arrival, settle into your comfortable hotel or riad surrounded by the town’s iconic blue-painted streets. DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN → VOLUBILIS → MEKNES → FES
After a delightful breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through charming Rif villages as you make your way to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Explore the remarkably preserved mosaics and public buildings dating back to the 3rd century. The journey then continues to Meknes, Morocco’s 17th-century former capital. After a delicious lunch, discover the historic medina, marvel at the exquisite carvings of the famous Bab el Mansour gate, and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Following your exploration, head to Fes where you will relax and spend the night in a charming riad.
DAY 3: GUIDED TOUR OF FES
Get ready to uncover the timeless charm of Fes. The day begins at the grand gates of the Royal Palace, offering a striking introduction to the city’s regal past. Venture into the heart of the old Medina—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—with your local guide. Wander through its winding alleys and bustling souks, visiting landmarks such as Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the beautiful Nejjarine fountain, and the colorful Chouara Tanneries. Continue into the historic Jewish quarter (the Mellah) to learn about Fes’ multicultural identity, and end the day at an ancient hilltop fortress for sweeping panoramic views of the city. DAY 4: FES → IFRANE → MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA DESERT
Following breakfast, travel southward toward the Sahara. Enjoy a scenic break in Ifrane before heading into the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains to encounter wild Barbary apes. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue through the picturesque Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm tree oasis. Arrive in the town of Merzouga in the afternoon and embark on a traditional camel caravan across the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Pause to watch an amazing sunset atop a high dune before arriving at your luxury desert camp. DAY 5: MERZOUGA DESERT → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES VALLEY
Wake up early to catch a mesmerizing sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After a satisfying breakfast, ride your camel or take a 4×4 vehicle back to Merzouga. The drive west begins with a stop at the vibrant market in Rissani (which is bustling on market days: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). Continue to the spectacular Todra Gorge, taking a leisurely walk along the Todra River beneath towering cliffs. The journey then takes you into the scenic Dades Valley, where you will marvel at the remarkable “monkey fingers” rock formations and take in panoramic vistas of the Dades Gorges. DAY 6: DADES VALLEY → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MARRAKECH
On your final day, drive toward Ouarzazate, affectionately known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you have the option to explore the famous Atlas Studios. Proceed to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. This magnificent Kasbah has served as the backdrop for numerous blockbuster films, including “Gladiator,” “Indiana Jones,” and the series “Game of Thrones.” After a delightful lunch exploring the ancient architecture, the journey leads over the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass.
