Tour ITINERARY

DAY 1: CASABLANCA → RABAT → FES

Your journey begins with a pick-up from Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport or your hotel. The first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture and one of the largest mosques in the world. From there, we drive to the capital city, Rabat, to explore the historic Hassan Tower and the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

After lunch in Rabat, the drive continues to Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. You will spend the evening in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Medina. Dinner and overnight in a traditional Fes riad.

DAY 2: FES → IFRANE → CEDAR FOREST → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA

After breakfast, we leave the city behind and head toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. We pause in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets, then continue to the cedar forest near Azrou. Here, you can walk among the ancient trees and see the native Barbary apes.

The route then winds through the Tizi n’Tilghmt Pass and follows the Ziz River, offering dramatic views of palm-filled canyons and fortified villages (ksars). By late afternoon, you reach Merzouga. You’ll switch to camels for a ride into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular Sahara sunset. Dinner and overnight at a luxury desert camp.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES VALLEY

Wake up early to catch the first light of the sun over the dunes. After breakfast, you’ll explore the desert region further by 4×4, visiting the old mines of M’Fis and the village of Khamlia to hear live Gnawa music. You will also visit a nomadic family to learn about their way of life.

In the afternoon, we head west to Rissani to visit its famous traditional market (if it’s a market day). We then continue to the Todra Gorge, where the river has carved a massive canyon through the mountains. After a walk through the gorge, the day concludes in the Dades Valley, famous for its unique “monkey fingers” rock formations. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Valley.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY → KELAA M’GOUNA → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MARRAKECh

The final day begins with a drive through the Valley of Roses at Kelaa M’Gouna, famous for its rose-water products. We then reach Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you can visit the Atlas Film Studios.

The highlight of the morning is a visit to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage site used as a location for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, the tour climbs the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). We arrive in Marrakech in the early evening, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
