Tour ITINERARY

DAY 1: MARRAKECH → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MERZOUGA DESERT

Your 2-day adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Leaving the city behind, you will immediately begin your ascent into the majestic High Atlas Mountains, navigating the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka pass. We will pause frequently to take in the breathtaking scenery and photograph the rugged landscape and traditional Berber villages.

After a scenic lunch stop along the route, the drive continues directly toward your final destination: the vast Sahara of Merzouga. Upon arriving in the afternoon, a caravan of camels will be waiting to guide you into the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will pause atop a high ridge to witness a mesmerizing desert sunset before continuing to your luxury camp. After settling into your private tent—complete with a personal en-suite bathroom and shower—you will be served a delicious dinner, followed by an evening of rhythmic drumming and Berber songs around a crackling campfire.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT → AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH → MARRAKECH

We highly recommend waking up early to watch the magnificent Sahara sunrise slowly illuminate the rolling dunes. After a delightful breakfast at the camp, you will board a 4×4 vehicle for a comfortable and quick ride back to the town of Merzouga, where you will meet your driver to begin the journey back.

The return trip features several beautiful stops, including a scheduled break for lunch. A major highlight of the day is a panoramic stop at the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, this perfectly preserved mud-brick village has served as a legendary backdrop for major Hollywood productions like Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, and Game of Thrones. Following this historic viewing, you will complete the final leg of the drive, arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your riad or hotel. End of the tour.
